D4vd Pleads Not Guilty to Murder After High-Profile Lawyers Withdraw from Case

The music world is in shock after rising star D4vd, legally David Anthony Burke, entered a not guilty plea on Monday to charges of murdering 14-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez. The teen’s remains were discovered in the trunk of a Tesla registered to Burke last September. According to prosecutors, Burke allegedly stabbed Hernandez and then used a chainsaw to dismember her, with the tools purchased online prior to the incident. He also faces charges of child sexual abuse and mutilation of human remains.

In a surprising twist, Burke’s legal team, which included celebrity attorney Blair Berk and her associates, withdrew from the case. A Los Angeles County public defender, Walid Kandeel, has stepped in to represent him. This move raises questions about the state of the defense and the evidence involved. A text message from Hernandez to Burke was read in court stating, “I swear to GOD I will kill u,” adding another layer of complexity to the narrative.

Burke’s career was on an upward trajectory with a young and dedicated fanbase. This case casts a long shadow over his future, regardless of the legal outcome. The details are graphic and disturbing, making this a difficult story to process. We will continue to follow this case as it develops.
